We went here for a late lunch and everything was absolutely amazing ❤️ we’re gluten-free lactose intolerant and vegan and this place dealt with it so well!! Most of thier menu is available with a gluten free alternative and the waitress was so lovely and understanding with allergies!
Plus the desserts are to die for you can’t even tell that they’re gluten free/vegan. It’s definitely the place to go too with allergies or not. Also the service alone was phenomenal ❤️❤️ they really went the extra mile and were so so friendly. Will for sure be bringing everyone I know :)
Delicious gluten free pizza!
This has to be one of the best gluten free pizzas I've had in the UK. The dough/ pizza base is so soft and flavourful. The texture was amazing!
I loved my vegetarian pizza, generously topped with olives, onions, peppers, and tomato.
10/10 recommend if you are gluten free! Just be aware that they charge an additional fee for a gluten free base.
Second visit disappointing. My daughter ordered a gluten free toasted sandwich and I ordered a quesadilla, both containing chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Thought we’d found a gem after first visit but probably won’t return.
Rib eye steak was fantastic, and the creme brulee was a delicious dessert to round off an excellent meal. Service was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent gluten free options, including beer. Highly recommended!
Have a lovely gluten free breakfast at the Cozy Club. Had a table overlooking the street and a great server. Very much enjoyed the meal and they were careful with gluten cross contamination so I didn't get sick
Well, well, well… I’ve never been to Bella Italia before but I think it’s one of my new favourite restaurants.
Such a friendly atmosphere, great service, and the food was exceptionally good!
I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Catered to allergies and gluten free with no issues. A very smooth and enjoyable experience. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you for the lovely time. Xx
We visited Browns Oxford on Christmas Eve at 6.30pm and ate from the a la carte menu. There was a disappointingly limited choice of main courses. Overall, the service was good, but the quality of food wasn't particularly great.
We have eaten at this restaurant before and choose it for its gluten free (gf) options because my 16 year old son is coeliac. His 'medium rare' steak was served without any browning/caramelisation on the outside, leaving it looking quite grey and unappetising in appearance. The other main courses (chicken schnitzel, ribeye steak, mushroom and halloumi burger) were not much more enticing or flavoursome.

I never say this in reviews but this was honestly the best meal I've had in a long long time!
The staff greeted us when we arrived and talked us through the menu helping with vegan gluten-free options-of which there were loads.
The food was exceptional and the Ice teas and cocktails were great, our server Sara (or Saha) was very friendly and attentive. 😁
Will definitely be back many times
A busy bustling cafe where you're likely to trip over the staff on the stairs, ehichmight help explain why service speed was ..... sedate.
However, they are very on the ball about what is in their dishes it's why once was served and was able to ask about dishes without garlic they got back to me fairly promptly with an apologetic No. After suggesting that maybe they cancel the drink order then and we'd move on the proprietor came over and checked what I could eat and sorted out a plate of tasy gluten and garlic free food, and you can't complain about that, especially when not charged for it too. M9nd you I never did get the lemonade I'd ordered.
So the little negatives are outweighed by generous portions, and friendly, knowledgeable staff in a comfortable environment. Would go again.
We visited posh fish for their gluten free Wednesday. My partner is coeliac and so having fish and chips is somewhat of a novelty! Posh Fish handled it amazingly - the dish was so crispy and flavoursome. It didn’t go soggy at all, and was so delicious! The chips were also amazing. Gluten free salt and vinegar too - what else did we need. So brilliant, thanks!!
THE BEST CAKE I've ever had. It happened to be gluten-free (bonus!). It was almond, lemon, coconut cake slice. And the woman who. Served me was especially nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Staying in Oxford this week, we came across this fabulous restaurant.
Decor lovely.
Staff were amazing & so helpful with my gluten free requirements.
Food excellent.
Will def visit again when next in Oxford & would recommend.
INCORRECT ALLERGEN INFO
They have allergy labels for their cakes but when I asked to check that a cake labelled gluten free was safe for me, I was told it contained flour and also egg which also wasn’t on the allergy label. Clearly they knew their allergen sign was incorrect but hadn’t bothered to fix it. I told him to correct it and he didn’t bother. Someone could die
Absolutely brilliant crepe breakfast.
I am also sure these are the best milkshakes in the area.
The buckwheat gluten free option is working well.
My brother in law is gluten intolerant and was amazed by the options on the menu.
He could join in with the crepe experience and it made our day.
Thank you
I visited Dirty Bones after coming for a works do and I was not disappointed! The service was impeccable and given I had a gluten allergy, everyone was very helpful and accommodating with the menu options. I felt very comfortable and was even able to have a burger with an amazing gf brioche bun! I highly recommend the tater tots (they were also gf). Also a massive thanks to our server Olivia who was so friendly! Will definitely be coming back!
Had trouble believing the gluten free bread was actually gluten free as it was so good!!! Good selection of coeliac friendly dishes available.
Staff are excellent, friendly and well informed.
Great food though pricy. Make a reservation because it’s always busy. They have a menu indicating gluten free, nut free, dairy free - just ask for it. Service could be either great or meh.
Went for brunch yesterday and we were asked if we had any allergies, I said yes gluten and we were shown to our table and the waiter asked if it was me with the gluten allergy, I said yes and he nodded then left us with 4 menus. There is no information on the menu about what can be adjusted to be gluten free. After about 10 mins another waiter came over to take our drink order and I said that I had said I had a gluten allergy but then hadn’t had any information on what I could have and he said to wait a minute and left (without taking the drink order) and then a manager came over to tell us that bread or pancakes could be made gluten free but there was a risk of cross contamination due to the kitchen, pretty standard even though it’s annoying.
The food was very good once we sorted what I could have but the coffees were tiny! We ordered lattes and the came in mugs not much bigger than an espresso mug! Not work the cost.
Overall I would come back but staff should be more forthcoming with information on allergies and how people then need to order etc.
A standout speciality café in Oxford. Excellent espresso based drinks, that never disappoint. There is also an impressive selection of treats! I'm happy to report there are options safe for those who are gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. Lovely all around!
I have never written a google review but this place is fantastic, so I had to. The food is excellent, the scrambled eggs are creamy, the chai latte is the best I ever had (seriously). They have gluten-free and vegan options, as well as gluten-free, vegan options.

Delicious food but unfriendly and rude staff particularly to babies/parents.
Gluten free bread available for toasties and great selection of drinks. Great accessible toilet, high chair available and cosy setting. Unfortunately we found the staff particularly unfriendly and unhelpful towards us and our babies. Despite our efforts ie packing up some of our buggies and of course making sure the babies weren't disturbing other people and also spending plenty of money with them, what seemed to be the supervising staff member rudely asked us to remove our cups and crockery from a table (out of baby reach) that wasn't being used when there were at least 3 other tables free. Was not provided with an alternative place to put things, just rudely asked to move because they would lose customers. Even after we explained that we would happily remove if anyone came in, they continued to treat us as a bother and unwelcome customers for the rest of our stay. If you are a sleep deprived mama or dad, would recommend steering clear of the agg you would get here. A shameful lack of goodwill.
The food was amazing, great gluten free options. Our server, Martha, was so lovely and helpful and even went out of her way to get us an off-menu cocktail, really appreciated her efforts!
The hot chocolate is great! Good selection of gluten free cakes (which is pretty unusual and very much appreciated by my daughter who has coeliac disease). Lovely ice cream. Quite pricey but nice as a treat. Family friendly.
I wouldn't recommend it for gluten intolerant/ celiacs. I asked about gluten free options before sitting and was told "we have many options". Eventually 99% of the manu was with gluten and I ended up getting a thin slice of meat with some raw vegetables, for which I paid 16 pounds. There are many other better restaurants in Oxford that respect their gluten-free costumers.
The food was good but I felt overpriced for what it was- best part of £7 for a single ball of sorbet is just a rip off. I am fully aware they are probably trying to recover from covid and the energy crisis etc which puts costs up that have to be passed onto the customer, but regardless I feel there are other places doing equally as good food for less.
However staff were fantastic and accommodated my dairy and gluten free food requests.
The thing I love about the Magic is how healthy the food is - it's healthy and delicious and vegetarian, with vegan and gluten-free options available. Modern and delicious. Also we use for takeaway as can be re-heated. Recommend!
Adorable tea shop in Oxford, that is perfect for a date, or a meetup with loved ones or friends.
I think the tea selection is nice, and I've always enjoyed all the cups I've tried. I also think the inclusion of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options is noteworthy.
A cute place to visit!
Great value breakfast and includes perfectly toasted 2 slices of bread and real butter! Gluten free for my friend was no trouble at all including bread. Lovely family business.
We went here as a group of 7 and all ordered a main and 4 sides. Overall the food was quite good although I found the fig honey lamb a bit too sweet for me. My main issue was the service; the food took 1.5h to arrive and only 6 mains were brought out - we ended up having to ask where the 7th had gone. My gluten intolerant friend who asked for rice instead of bread was ultimately served and charged for both. To finish off the night, the servers started clearing our table before people had finished eating which made them feel pressured to speed up (possibly because we were served late).
We sat on the terrace under the big umbrellas with a light breeze. This began a wonderful visit with friends.
It was busy but the service was still mostly timely and attentive.
The food on offer, including the set menu, was extensive.
£128 per couple including wine and service charge
Gluten-free options were many.
