Good gluten free range

First time at Ego. Husband is coeliac but noticed that there was a good choice of gluten free food on the website menu so booked. On arrival he was informed that the gluten free fryer was out of order so he wouldn't be able to have chips. That limits the menu immediately if he had wanted a steak. This obviously would not happen with the normal fryer and a replacement would be organised immediately! He then settled on the kebab which sounded great with gluten free wraps and tsatsuki. When the waitress arrived to take the order she said they didn't have any gluten free wraps. The great selection suddenly "wasn't "!! He had carbonara - average and overpriced. The restaurant has a really nice feel to it, the staff and service was really good. If we go again I think we'll check before travelling that they do actually have some gluten free food. This is really miserable when you have a dietary requirement- not a life choice and very few restaurants actually seem to cater well for this. We thought Ego was going to be different

A very cute little cafe, which do a banging gluten free brownie! Really nice for little cakes and snacks, and my partner said his sandwich was really good and homemade. I’ve also visited with my family who enjoyed their food. The decor is really nice and boho, and there’s a good amount of seats available. It is a very quiet cafe, so it’s great for if you need a little break away in peace and quiet for lunch or a snack.
