We ate there yesterday. If you're celiac, this restaurant isn't for you. We informed them when we made our reservation and a month before we planned to return. The menu doesn't list allergens. We tried to order rice, and the waitress told us the rice contained gluten. What do you add to rice to make it contain gluten? You people who boast about using natural and carefully treated products? When it came to dessert, the waitress told us we couldn't have any dessert. When we got angry, saying we'd told them months before that someone was celiac, she asked again and offered us a gluten-free coulant. When it came time to ask for the bill, we had to complain about it three times. The food was good, the waitress who served our table was very friendly and professional, but the experience wasn't to our liking.
A cafeteria, bakery with a terrace where you can enjoy a good breakfast, served with a lot of love, very good service and very professional, the coffee well served and an endless number of sweet and savory foods to accompany it, it has special attention to food intolerances, they serve products without gluten. Totally recommended.
I have been there more times and what happened to me on Thursday the 17th when I went to dinner had never happened to me. The attention on the part of the waiters is unfortunate, I can understand that they are wrong but there are things that are not to be trifled with and that is people's health. I clearly asked that they bring me the gluten-free burger because I have celiac disease and salad instead of potatoes due to cross contamination, the waiter told me that there was no problem, when the burger arrived it had a bun that didn't seem to me to be gluten-free and in fact it wasn't, if I don't realize it, they serve it to me and they are so comfortable. Then I wait another 45 minutes until they bring it to me and on top of that when I ask them to speak to the manager or person in charge of the cafeteria they tell me that he is not there and they delay me so that I can leave without giving importance to my gluten intolerance. Undoubtedly regrettable attention without any type of empathy. A shame because I liked the place but I don't plan to return.
We had lunch with a group of six on Friday. One of us had celiac disease. The menu included allergens and the service was very good. We ate very well. The service was very attentive. For us, this is one of the best restaurants in Palencia. We've had a good experience every time we've been there.
