This is my favorite restaurant! They have a discounted HH everyday (even on weekends) and has great mocktails. They have a staff is great and knowledgeable, everything is gluten free! They have a fried chicken strips are my favorite, along with the cashew queso & the Brussels.
Love the patience and genuine friendliness of the staff, and the food was good! You can tell thought was put into texture and taste. Nice and casual spot for your omnis, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten abstaining besties.
Overall, the atmosphere is fairly nice with very kind and friendly wait staff. True Food Kitchen has a well rounded menu with accommodates for vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan with clearly labled dishes for such. Additionally, the flavor profile is fairly diverse so if you are vegan like me, you will not be restricted to a single option and have a few choices to make.
I'm sad that Counter Culture is closing but grateful that I was able to enjoy it for so many years. This place was ahead of its time, offering vegan options before they were readily available at grocery stores, food trucks, etc. The cashew cheezecake is amazing, and I ordered several of them for my birthdays over the years. The gluten free mac'n cheeze is also out of this world. Thank you, Counter Culture, for showing us that we don't have to torture animals (or our own bodies) to enjoy our favorite comfort foods.
They have more than one option for gluten free. All the items I got were gluten free. I got a chocolate frosted donut, chocolate chip muffin, chocolate chip cookies (package of 2) and a white chocolate mocha frappe (with coffee). My total was $20.04
Everything in the case is clearly labeled. The lady at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Donut was cakey, but not too thick. It had chocolate icing.
Muffin was so soft. Tasted buttery and not too sweet for being chocolate chip. I ate it the fastest out of the items.
Cookies look like they were hard, but they were soft once you bit into them.
Frappe was a good accompaniment to my breakfast.
I always have a lovely time here but writing this review to shout out our lovely sever Ariana. She was such a light and her energy made the experience that much better. The shrimp & grits is great and my friend who has a gluten allergy never has to worry when she comes here. 10 out of 10 will recommend.
I have celiac disease and made that clear to the cashier. They marked “gluten allergy” on my receipt, and of course I only ordered gluten free items. Started having a reaction shortly after finishing my food. This location is not safe if you have celiac disease.
Food was amazing as always! Cheesy Naan and cream cheese stuffed jalapeno Naan 😱 amazing 👏. Very delicious and has tons of gluten free and vegetarian options. Korma and Tikka were super yummy.
Love this place! Has a great vibe and is one of the only restaurants around that offers both gluten free and vegan desserts on their menu. I recommend the teriyaki bowl with either salmon or crispy chicken, and the chocolate chip cookie.
I love this place and that they use healthier ingredients in their pizza. They use organic wheat for their crust, usually I have to eat gluten free but I am able to eat their crust. They also use olive oil which is much healthier the than the cheaper synthetic oils many restaurants use. I love pesto and their vegetarian pesto pizza is amazing! I also really enjoy their tomato sauce when I get a regular veggie pizza and like to add pineapple to it. Their custom cheese blend is great too!
Great variety of foods and a whole gluten-free menu. 😋 Very comfortable seating and calm atmosphere. Our food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. Definitely would recommend and definitely coming back!
This was a decent breakfast place. They had gluten free options but the gf menu was dairy heavy so choices are limited if you have dietary restrictions. Portions are huge! And it’s a nice hearty southern comfort food spot.
This is a tried and true south Austin staple with reliably good food and friendly staff to match. I love that they have a whole separate gluten free menu with plenty of options!
We're visiting from out of state and were looking for a quick bite. We came in today around 1 and I believe it was Jared (maybe Jason?) that helped us out. He was super friendly and welcoming. He had a great attitude and was fun to talk with. Our food was super fast and yummy! Also, gluten free friendly which is great!
here's what you need to know before coming to this location
there's a bunch of places here so it's shared parking so parking is 80% in the battle especially with dragon Slayer in the corner depending on when they're having events could pick up the whole parking lot and let alone the fact that you have next door a Vietnamese Indian and multiple other little fruity places Decatur they're different people's and territories and precision just down the walking distance
The other hand this place is totally one of the best franchises I went first to run my location and I was even more impressed with this location
they keep the place spotless and clean with plenty of tables plenty of paper towels at every table Nice cushion seats TVs everywhere playing sports and super fast Wi-Fi
The customer support was absolutely phenomenal with a variety of people to make sure that accommodate the eb and flow of different people coming in and out putting in to go orders and pick up orders and eating in
also plenty of options for handicap and then the restrooms as well commands and women's with spotless or plenty of options and stalls
I got a freebie on the app to get a free shake how can they make a shake this darn good Nutella pretzel chocolate shake may very well be one of the best shakes I've ever had in my entire life I highly recommend it it's the ultimate dirty dessert to mess up your diet or just give you the calories and carbs to burn off tomorrow for your workout :)
highly recommend this place as well for the variety of burger options that will fill you up along with Fry's options and of course brussel sprouts and let me again mention this something that a lot of people don't notice franchise is great for is their variety of Brussels sprouts which I highly recommend the Parmesan truffle brussel sprouts next time you're here to share with friends and family
also plenty of beer and alcohol and options while watching your favorite sports game and also taking advantage of if you're on your healthier side your ginger homemade lemonade :)
on the burger side of a huge fan of the Diablo if you're into hot and spicy and can even do gluten free and they're gluten-free bun hit the spot too
Bird Bird Biscuit fills a hole in my heart with their gluten-free Biscuitarian. The first one I had actually made me cry happy tears. It had been years since I'd had a proper southern biscuit and it is *perfect*. Perfect texture, perfect melt-in-your mouth buttery magic. The egg is perfect, the veggie sausage perfect. If you are unhappily gluten-free like me, give yourself this joy. Remember to order at least an hour ahead!
Went here for brunch and it was great! Pretty patio, and a mimosa flight is only $6! They have so many gluten free and vegan options, so there is something for everyone. Cute place
Shayne was great! So attentive, gave great options and always smiled. He’s a genuinely nice person. The cocktails and food were great and there’s gluten free options. Will return.

Celebrated my bday here last weekend and it was an amazing experience. The food was good and the server is very attentive. I love the gluten free option for the pasta. The mussels for appetizer is bomb. The serving was big and is shareable💯
I'm on a Snap Pass plan and I buy meals for me and my family here every week. I work a challenging job and rarely have time or energy to cook, so being able to get fresh gluten-free meals that I can just heat in the microwave is hugely helpful! The quality is better than similar fresh meals I've gotten from grocery stores -- Snap Kitchen meals don't have the weird preservatives and chemicals that grocery store kitchens tend to use. We've recently enjoyed the pumpkin pancakes, shrimp and grits, maple dijon chicken, and harvest salad. The free bonus snacks I get as a Snap Pass member don't hurt either!
My one complaint (as I notice has been mentioned in other reviews) is that the chicken can sometimes be overcooked if I microwave it for the recommended time. I've taken to checking the chicken before microwaving it -- if it's already fully cooked, I lessen the heating time. Making sure chicken is fully cooked is a food safety issue, so I can see how Snap Kitchen might be erring on the side of caution, but it might help to adjust the heating times on the chicken dishes.
In general, this is a great service!
Yall ever have a bagel so good you have to go back and ask what they did to it??
Yeah, that's what happened here.
Literally the best vegan AND gluten friendly bagel I've ever had. I will absolutely drive by when I'm in town again and bring friends!
This is a new brunch must for my husband and I! I recently became gluten free and had the BEST GF pancakes I’ve had yet. They also can make almost any menu item GF. My mother in law is also Vegan and said her pancakes were also incredible.
The service was great. The vibe was awesome. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Do yourself a favor and GET THE BACON 😋
Menu and Food Quality:
The star of the show is, of course, the burgers. Top Notch Burgers offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes, including vegetarians and vegans. The burgers are made from high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, and you can taste the difference. Here are a few highlights:
1. Classic Cheeseburger: A perfectly cooked patty, juicy and flavorful, topped with melted cheddar, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and a tangy house sauce, all nestled in a soft, toasted bun. It’s the quintessential burger done right.
2. Bacon Avocado Burger: This burger is a flavor explosion, combining crispy bacon, creamy avocado, and a beef patty cooked to perfection. The addition of a zesty lime mayo brings all the elements together beautifully.
3. Vegan Delight: For non-meat eaters, the Vegan Delight is a revelation. A hearty plant-based patty topped with fresh veggies and a delicious vegan aioli, served on a gluten-free bun. It’s satisfying and delicious, proving that plant-based doesn’t mean compromising on taste.
4. Sides and Extras: The hand-cut fries are crispy and golden, the onion rings are perfectly battered, and the milkshakes are thick and creamy, available in a variety of flavors. Don’t miss out on the house-made pickles, which add a delightful crunch to any burger.
Value for Money:
Top Notch Burgers offers great value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients justifies the price. They also offer a range of combo deals and a loyalty program for regular customers, making it even more affordable to enjoy their delicious offerings.
Conclusion:
Top Notch Burgers is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. With its delightful ambiance, excellent service, and mouth-watering food, it sets the standard for what a burger joint should be. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and treat yourself to one of the best burgers in town. You won’t be disappointed!
One of my go-to brunch spots! Everything is fresh and flavorful. Banana bread with espresso mascarpone is delicious! Good juices and even better lattes. The Brassicas bowl (pictured) is my healthy go to but I also love the BEK. My husband keeps coming back for the burger and fries. Haven’t had a bad dish.
I love the outdoor seating for fresh air but if birds nearby bothers you - ask for indoor seating. Great options for those avoiding gluten or just looking for dang delicious, nourishing food.
Love that they put a Culver's here. Now we don't have to go all the way to Round Rock or up to the G-Town one on Williams Drive. Double Butter Cheese with L, T, and Bacon, please!
Took my family here last night to celebrate my son dropping 30 in his final game of his high school career, the Alumni game. We had the miraculous pleasure of having Melanie as our cashier, and she handled our large order quite perfectly. We have dietary restrictions in my fam so gluten-free here, low carb there. I think I even saw that she might have given us a hookup? Thanks, Melanie! You're the best. We'll come and look for you every time now!!!! 👊🏼
I immediately fell in love with this cute little bakery!!! I had a soup and a slice of gluten free lemon poppyseed bread. I was blown away. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Can’t wait to go back.
This is my new favorite place at the Domain! First and foremost, our server was amazing! She really knew the wine menu and made some great recommendations based on our pallets. We each had a flight (4 small glasses) and it didn't disappoint.
The menu had several gluten-free options that it made it difficult to choose! Luckily, we'll be returning to try more of them. We shared an olive plate which also went great with our wine tasting. We also had the fried zucchini which had a hint of sweet chili.
For dinner, I had the pork chop and my partner had fish ( I can't remember which) and we were both very pleased with our meals. Our server surprised us with cheesecake and while I couldn't finish it, it was a great dessert to finish our meal.
I cannot wait to go back. It's perfect for any date night or an evening with some friends. Absolutely worth checking out!
It's probably the most gluten-free competent establishment I've eaten. The preparer changes gloves, cutting board, and knives, literally anything that toughes the sandwich. Staff is ultra polite and competent. Great place, period.
I have severe allergies to gluten and I've had many issues with restaurants. I spoke to Shawn and he helped me excessively. I am so beyond thankful as sandwiches are really hard to get. He offered to clean everything during rush hour and I felt completely safe. Very amazing service to accommodating allergies.
Ok, we all know what we're getting when we go to Chick-fil-A. The service is legendary, we get it. I would like to point out what Brennan did during my most recent visit, which I really appreciate. I got a Dr. Pepper and a coke, they look pretty similar, so Brennan pushed down the little buttons on the lid to differentiate which one was which. Honestly I think he just does this, every time. This is the difference between Chick-fil-A and every other fast food. The details, the effort, the care. Sure the food is good, the spicy chicken is just the right amount of spicy, the waffle fries are delicious, the gluten free buns are an option, but they're individually wrapped for celiacs, the list goes on and on. This. This is why you go to Chick-fil-A. I digress... Thank you Brennan, you really made my day with something that is probably just a habit to you now.
Glad to have the salad bar back :)
They need to bring back the pre pandemic gluten free bread that doesn't have all the seeds in it that some of us can't have.

Cool place. I loved being able to go to a sub joint and have a sub sandwich. I have to eat gluten and dairy free, and there's not many places that do the gluten free sub rolls. So seeing Jersey Mike's got the gluten free sub roll, it made my day. Took me back to when I was a kid, before I had to be gluten free, I could get a great sub and enjoy every bite. Well I can do that again, thanks Jersey Mike's Subs! Love it.
Really good burgers. I got the Baja on a gluten free bun (which itself was tasty and maintained structural integrity) while husband chose the 5280 (traditional burger). Both were delicious. We split a large fry (read elsewhere it’s a separate fryer than used for rings) which was more than enough for us (probably could have split a small, honestly). Didn’t get to try the chocolate shake as they told me it wasn’t GF. Nice to have another quality burger restaurant option (with burgers thick enough that they ask you how you want it cooked)!
Such an overrated place! The no-tempeh mushroom hamburguer was not good and the gluten free bun was gross. It melted in my mouth immediately and felt like bread that was in water for hours. I have eaten better hamburgers for better pices. The parking place was also a problem. I had to wait some minutes for someone to leave .
Really has a decent East Coast grinder taste and always fresh and delicious.
Offers gluten free bread (advertisement suggests this is new)
This location was a bit tricky to find in the strip mall with minimal signage. On the highway side, in the same building as a TMobile and Parmer Dental Care (across from the "closed on Sunday" chicken hawkers)
June 2020:
Stopped by during pandemic in Texas where laws are a bit looser and confirmed cases keep rising. Nevertheless, at least at this location, both staff and store appear to be taking appropriate precautions while catering to both delivery orders and walk-in customers. Bathrooms are closed, sanitizer available, masks required, and distancing completely available.
They have the best gluten free pizza in austin (top 5 ive had anywhere and boy have we tried alot of gluten free pizza all over the world). The kids love their regular cheese pizza as well.
Thanks to Xavier and the JM Team, I had a truly fantastic first visit to Jersey Mike's. I have Celiac, but my family does not. While others prepared my family's order, Xavier prepared my sandwich with gluten-free bread in a separate area from the counter line. They treated my dietary restrictions, as well as me with utmost respect, taking extra care to ensure I was happy. And I was. Great food, great service, professional demeanor. Kudos to Jersey Mike's on West Anderson Lane. Y'all are a great Team!
I haven't been to Schlotzsky's in a while because they didn't have gluten free options. My adult son asked me to lunch and he chose Schlotzsky's. I was going to eat a salad... but I asked them if they had gluten free options now. The young man behind the counter said, "Yes, we have gluten free bread and our salads are gluten free also." Music to my ears! I had a turkey with pickles on a gluten free bun. It does cost an additional $1.50 for gluten free bread. The location was decently clean and the young man was friendly and informative. My son and I enjoyed our meal. Thank you Schlotzsky's! 09-28-19
