Wow, 5 stars all around. My team and I came here after a conference. We are all from out of town looking for gluten-free options with good sourced ingredients, especially the protein.
6 of us and my toddler. Most of us ordered the prime rib sandwich with a gluten-free bun with tomato soup. I haven't enjoyed a meal like that in a long time.
The food was spectacular.
We celebrated our boss' birthday and ordered the brownie with ice cream, also very delicious.
Our server, Kelly, was phenomenal. We had some modifications to our order, she didn't seem bothered by it. Our food was prepared how we requested.
She played with my daughter and was very sweet towards her and didn't seem bothered that she was playing on the floor in a main walkway by our table.
We sat outside, it was clean, and the music was the right volume and style.
Overall, it was a great experience and affordable.
Keep up the great work!!!
We had an event for Knights of Columbus family dinner here, at the banquet room. For my husband and Init was our first time at this restaurant. We don’t eat out often due to allergies….
This visit was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional service and hospitality of our servers, Laurie and Karra (so sorry if I got the names wrong!) From the moment we were seated, they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience, especially for my husband who has celiac disease and other allergies.
Often, dining out with dietary restrictions can be stressful, with limited options and the worry of cross-contamination so that’s why many times my husband makes a decision to not to eat at all and tonight was going to be that case as well. However, Laurie immediately put our minds at ease, assuring us that the chefs would take special care in preparing a safe and delicious meal for my husband. While the rest of us enjoyed our salads, they even brought him celery and olives to snack on – a thoughtful gesture that truly touched us.
The chefs crafted a wonderful off-menu dish for my husband, allowing him to fully participate in the dining experience. It's not often that he gets to enjoy a meal out with confidence and peace of mind. Laurie and Karra’s attentiveness and genuine care made him feel special and included, turning what could have been an isolating experience into a truly enjoyable one.
Beyond the outstanding service, the food itself was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection – a beautiful pink center with a flavorful sear.
This dining experience was a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the entire staff. From our beautiful and wonderful servers, Laurie and Karra, to the talented chefs and the owner who has cultivated such a positive and accommodating environment, thank you!! 🙏🏻
You have turned a simple meal into a cherished memory. We are truly grateful for the experience and highly recommend this place to anyone seeking delicious food and exceptional service.
Thank you and God Bless!
Red Robin always seems to have good burgers at a decent price. And the location here has a nice view of the lake. The gluten free buns are also very high quality compared to other restaurants.
I love Matador. Very cozy in the downtown location. The service is great & fajitas are always a great idea. So far everything we have tried is perfect! I love that they have gluten free options!
The food tasted like food (and that's my highest compliment). I had the Devil's Eggs, which were exactly the right level of mustardy, and the seasonal salad, which was actually seasonal. Use the QR code to see the menu.
The cocktail menu is great. I had the daily Old Fashioned, and for desert I asked for something similar with mezcal. The bartender made me a delicious Oaxacan Old Fashioned.
I was told by staff that the menu is entirely gluten free: "The only gluten would be in a beer, if you ordered one. There's no gluten in the kitchen."
We ordered the Mediterranean pasta, mine was gluten Free and my husband's was regular. The presentation was beautiful but the dish was extremely bland and the sauce was thin and flavorless. Mark, the manager, had the head chef redo our dishes and they turned out amazing, delicious. We appreciate that they were so willing to make it right. The cost of our dinner with drinks and dessert was very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
This Red Robin location is wonderful. We never have a bad experience, the servers always stay aware of our allergy needs when we tell them (fabulous at handling gluten free allergies when made aware). We get asked about refills on our bottomless fries and drinks by our servers. Excellent service, 5 stars.
We got into town late and they accommodated us as a large group less than an hour before they closed. This was much appreciated! My only complaint was that they make everyone be there before seating. We had two walking there so it put us closer to close time before we were seated and ordering. The food was wonderful. We had pizza that everyone who ordered it said it was the best pizza they ever tasted. I had a huge salad (I’m gluten free) that was really good.
The Poblano Burger was fantastic, heavy recommend. Gluten free bun was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent, great vibes, just all round 5 stars.
Although there are many items marked gluten-free on the menu here, it turns out that most are fried in the same oil as everything else, but this isn't noted on the menu. I was fortunate that the server mentioned it to me. I guess they don't care if people get sick.
We have had so many good experiences at Barbacoa's and this time we brought new neighbors to experience this great restaurant, and we requested Crystal again, and she was not available, because she was doing tables of 5 or more. But after we sat down, she came over and said she switched a table so she could be our server. She is so amazing. I did not know our neighbors were Gluten intolerant, but Crystal dove right in, and gave them so many suggestions. So again, the food and atmosphere, and Crystal's energetic personality, made it again a great experience.
This is a neat event space. They apparently hold mystery theater and dinner plays. We were here for an event rental. They provided all you can eat taco bar and pasta bar. I can't comment on the pasta bar as I'm celiac but the taco bar was your standard fare: refried beans, yellow cheddar, rice and ground beef. There was sour cream and bowls of chips, which were safe for those who can't partake in gluten. There is a bar, with complete service. We each had one low level drink coupon. If you wanted something like a mid-level whiskey, mudslide, or the like...you paid a dollar extra. They also expect to be tipped, as most bartenders are. They did a great job of keeping momentum and cleanup of the venue as needed. I would suggest them to be in consideration if you are looking for a rental venue in the Ada County area. The bathrooms were setup with saloon doors, which I found amusing. The women's has a waiting area with a cushioned seat and chandelier as well.
I've been eating 😋 at Yen Ching's since the late 1980s when it opened. It's my go-to Chinese restaurant.
Tonight, we took our son-in-law and his children for his birthday dinner. The 8 year old loved his orange chicken and the 18 year enjoyed their steamed barbecue pork buns (Dim Sum) and chilled lichee. Our son-in-law loved the shrimp fried rice so much that he took home an additional order. The rest of us also enjoyed our choices.
My favorite part was the menu clearly marked "gluten-free" and "spicy."
The restaurant was clean and attractively decorated. The staff were friendly and efficient. The manager made himself obvious and available.
Be sure to check the time you want to earas the restaurant closes for a break between their lunch and dinner serving times.
We went just after 5 pm. We had no issues finding paid (metered) parking. We also got seated immediately at a table screened off from most other diners. They do take reservations for later times.
Come enjoy Yen Ching's hospitality.
The cheese taco (cheese shell instead of tortilla) was INSANELY delicious!! Didnt even care that it was also gluten free AND keto / paleo, it was just delicious. Great beer selection and lots of TVs.
I have celiac and there are not many places for me to get food that’s including the grocery stores that mainly have gluten free junk food so my partner tried to help me find something to eat that was an actual meal (yes I’m new to the diagnosis) so we settled on this place b we saw they had some options so we ordered and waited he got a notification about 20 min after we ordered that they couldn’t fill the order and gave a refund and u know sitting here typing this I’m very starved b no one can live off junk and gluten free stuff is not cheap nor do I have the knowledge of making any of the meals so ordering was the realistic option so thank u for the refund when I really needed food that u supposedly serve I think u should change ur menu options if u don’t serve gluten free or just don’t want to
