I have reviewed this exact location before and gave it five stars but I need to update it. It’s only worth three. Food wasn’t nearly half as good as it was last time. The sausage was dried out. The pancakes were average. I got the peach ones that were on special this month. My wife had gluten pre-pancakes, which were OK for gluten-free. Let’s be real here. But the waiter was rude. He was normally rude to us. He was rude to other people and they may be shortstaffed, but there’s no excuse to treat people like that. They need to be knocked down a notch accordingly.
I have a gluten intolerance and I was pleased with the options at Maggiano’s. Noah was our server and he did an outstanding job taking care of us. The chef came over to our table to answer any questions about my food options. My husband and I enjoyed our meal.

Very happy to have stumbled upon this gem. We visited after the GA FL Game & were sat immediately after given options for different tables. We ordered and our drinks and food were brought out quickly and fresh. I have celiac (non-reactive) and had a fantastic gluten free pizza. I got the Laura and it was delicious. Others in my party got a meat lovers pizza & sandwiches and all were great. We were checked on frequently and offered to go drinks. All around fantastic & we hope to be back next year.
They have the best eggs Benedict around! Everything I've tried is amazing. I was shocked that I think I liked their gluten free pancakes better than their regular ones!
We stopped by another Broken Egg Café on a whim one morning. My gluten-free pancakes were very light and fluffy; I would definitely order those again. The sausage and eggs were also very tasty. However, the city grits were quite loose and more watery than I expected, so I probably wouldn’t choose those again. We also tried the spiked coffee, which was a bit strong; I think a little less alcohol would have improved it, as it was barely drinkable. We mentioned this to the waitress, and she noted that she tends to pour heavily, so if you enjoy a stronger drink, the spiked coffee might be for you. All in all, it was a good breakfast for a quick bite.
My husband who has celiac had lots of gluten free options. He had the Chicken and Cashew as well as Tom Kha soup. Also had gluten free tamari for him. Food & service were great!
Our server Teresa was very attentive and very kind. This meant a lot as one of our group has significant gluten allergies. She took it very seriously and went to every length to make us comfortable. Our food was cooked wonderfully and was quickly delivered to us. If you come to this outback request Teresa!
Alayna is an exceptional waitress. She took the time to explain the menu and she took good care of us. The gluten free Alfredo was fabulous. I highly recommend this establishment and I look forward to my next visit.
We are regulars and this place is amazing! I can’t eat gluten so they brought me cucumbers instead of pita 🥹. The vegetarian mezza platter is to die for! Can be made vegan with Garlic paste substitute too!!
Amazing Italian food that is both delicious and authentic! Their gluten free pasta is fantastic as well. I highly recommend trying this place for a satisfying meal.
Kailene was an excellent server. I'm gluten free, can't have cream sauce or lemon and she helped us find something great to eat. We have a hard time deciding what to eat and she was patient with us so we could take our time deciding without feeling pressured. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dropped in for lunch after flying into Jax, and we had a great time. Our server (Brandon) went above and beyond to help my mom navigate the menu with her allergies. Gluten and dairy allergies are a tough combo, but he found something that worked for her. Food was fresh and came out quick. Beer was solid, and there was plenty of options to choose from. Thanks Brandon for starting our vacation off on the right foot!!
This is one of those places that becomes a go-to spot. The food was excellent, and the service was accommodating and so friendly! The manager was very kind. I love that they had gluten free indications on the menu, also.
High end "on the harbor" restaurant. We ate here on vacation. Menu and seafood exceptional, catch of the day is awesome, and specialty drinks amazing.
Loved that half the menu indicated gluten-free...
warning, 2 weeks wait for reservation
A MUST EAT IN JACKSONVILLE
Came here the other night for marvel trivia. Decided to see what food they had. I was able to get two corn tacos since I can't have gluten. Just had them put lettuce on it which was a quarter upcharge. Also had cilantro and beef. Chips were good and had seasoning too. It has a bar, but I didn't drink while there. I noticed that they cook in an outside food truck type deal when I stepped outside for a moment. The food runner brought it about 10 minutes after I ordered. It was really good. Definitely filling. The Short box Podcast put the trivia on. There wasn't a ton of people, but honestly, there didn't need to be. The crowd was really cool. The questions were all about the MCU. The restroom was clean also when I used it. There's a few video games too, but I was there for trivia so I didn't look. It's only 10 minutes away in San Marco. There is parking behind the venue also. It's a slow, quiet area out there too. Would definitely go back.
I’ll admit that the day I visited, I was in a rush. I specifically came in to order the Cuban sandwich, which was an old favorite before becoming vegan and later gluten free. The atmosphere was lovely, and the human who prepared my food was wonderful. I could see sitting at the bar having a leisurely meal with friends or solo while reading/working or chatting with the staff. (If I hadn’t been in a rush I would have stayed to chat.) That said, I will definitely visit again when I have more time and try some other offerings.
I loved that they have gluten free bread available, but most of the sandwiches have wheat meat style slices. Unfortunately, this was the case with my Cuban, but I will say that for maybe the 5th time in the 8 years I’ve been gluten free I said screw it. I got the sandwich on the gluten free bread (because I may walk a little on the wild side, but I’m not reckless as I knew more than that and I’d definitely feel it later). I had the sandwich hot pressed, and I split it with Stephen. It was delicious and tasted very much like I remembered a Cuban tasting. However, I would rather stick to the truly gluten free options so I probably won’t get it again. My side was the potato salad, which was delicious, but spicy so I could only eat a few bites. However, Stephen devoured it along with the 1/2 a Cuban. The black cherry limeade I had was very good.
Looking at the menu, I didn’t ask about the thot dogs, but my guess is they’re probably also wheat meat. Of the sandwiches, it looks like I could get 3/5 of them on gluten bread otherwise as is, so I’ll give them a try. There are quite a few smoothies and juices, but I tend to go places for the variety of gluten free vegan options. I’ll be back next I’m in town, and I’ll stay a while this time while I try something new. (If I was not also gluten free this would be an amazing option.)
FYI: While I am gluten free by choice due to Hashimoto’s disease, it’s not much of a choice because without it I have insomnia (and I preferring sleeping). Cross contamination does not impact me personally, but be aware that this is not a gluten free establishment if you have Celiac’s disease.
One big standnout: gluten free pizza is not an up charge, and it's not tiny. It's a full 12" pizza. It's not a hard, sharp mouth destroyer. It's some of the best gf pizza I've had. 100% recommend.
Favorite restaurant in the area. I am gluten free and the staff is always accommodating. Food is amazing and service is always great. I visit at least twice a month and it makes it hard to go other places because of the possibility of being disappointed.
First time, food was delicious and staff was awesome. Robbie made sure my wife had some great gluten free options, and took great care of us. Highly recommend!
If you are vegan and you love Mexican food, this is the place for you!!
The “chorizo” was so flavorful! We were very impressed with the fake meats.
The salsa was also yummy, not too spicy, not too sweet. They also have vegan cheese and corn options for those who are gluten-free.
We will definitely be back!! The only thing we were hoping to see that we didn’t were those old school Mexicokes you can only find at places like this.
Great place and ambiance. Not noisy. You can have a conversation at your table. Food was good and not salty or too sweet. Really accommodate your needs (gluten free, steamed tofu, etc). Highly recommended.
A year later and we’re still so happy to have Josephine in the neighborhood. Excellent customer service paired with an incredible menu filled with modern takes on italian classics. We almost always get an order of their sticky ribs and caesar salad to start then spend time trying to decide on which entree because you truly cannot go wrong. I also have a gluten allergy and love that they offer a gluten free pasta substitute.
The server was friendly but forgot to add the gluten free flatbread. I will be miserable for the next couple days because of their carelessness. First and last time dining here. Do yourself a favor if you’re gluten free and go somewhere better.
Very cute atmosphere! Lots of things to do and many options if you want to try Kava or just have a normal coffee. The barista was very nice and explained all the elixers to me. I had the chunky monkey smoothie and it was very tasty. I also tried the chocolate chocolate chip muffin that was gluten free which paired nicely with the drink. Definitely an interesting place to try!
Chill place and vibe with delicious GLUTEN FREE KAISER ROLLS!!! I was so excited to see GF bread as an option and also 3 options of cider. They also have an impossible burger if you'd prefer that over beef. Absolutely delicious
My first time going to The District. Went to meet friends and the wait staff gave us a table even though we were only having drinks and an appetizer. We went on a Tuesday evening and took advantage of the $5 margaritas. One member of our group does not usually like margaritas, but really enjoyed the one served. The brussels sprouts were excellent. They were very accommodating and put the cheese and bacon on the side since one member was on a gluten-free diet and the other one a vegetarian. And as a bonus they brought us another appetizer to thank us for our first time visit. It is a small restaurant so you may want to make reservations.
First time here and just love it. Having celiac makes eating out difficult. They have tons of gluten free options and a pretty adaptable menu. Staff is knowledgeable and careful. I’ve never eaten a meal so fast at a restaurant but it was just so good.
NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. I went there because i was told the owner has celiacs, as do I. After discussing that we were both celiac, the owner served me chips and told me they were safe, then later told me they were fried in the fryer with other gluten containing foods. I am now sick.
As a newbie to the fighting game community, I felt so welcomed by the staff and regulars at tonight’s Tekken 8 tournament. The ramen was excellent, and the chef made accommodations for my wife to eat a gluten free meal. I really have nothing but good things to say, and can’t wait to show back up for another match!
Very delicious food and a wonderful environment. Excellent service great for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free the onion
pakora was especially delicious.
