Being celiac, I blame myself for believing that a Mac and Cheese place that offers a gluten free alternative could be for real. Don’t be fooled by their ‘GF available’ option, either the sauce was made with flour, or they reused the water to boil the pasta, but I had the worst gluten experience of my life. It was way beyond cross contamination. I agree that the food was delicious, but I would not risk it being are celiac or gluten intolerant, I regretted it deeply. The restaurant agreed to reimburse my plate and ‘look at the kitchen footage’… one week later and I am still waiting for the refund and never heard about their conclusion. I would not brand this place GF unless they change to a dedicated kitchen.
To end the night on an even lower note, although not the restaurant’s fault, our car got broken into, parked right outside the restaurant.
Love the tastes of their pizzas! They really know how to make delicious sauces with select toppings! I go for gluten free pizza, where the crust is crunchy and the pizza is caftily baked every time. I like to sit at the bar for the atmosphere, and the bartend is friendly, prompt, polite, and can make for a good chat.
I took my staff here for lunch. It was a top notch experience. Rosa, our server, was so amazing. She was very friendly, engaging and welcoming. The food was so flavorful and beautifully arranged on the plate. There were several vegetarian and gluten free options available. The atmosphere was a vibe, from the music to the decor. It's very obvious that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into creating this space!
An absolutely amazing experience tonight. Came out with friends for some food, and had a great time chatting while watching pokemon and eating amazing burgers. A friend can't eat gluten and they had gluten-free options for them. Both me and them got the smokehouse burger which was amazing. At first I was skeptical of the price but wow. The amount of food and how filling it was was absolutely worth it. Also it was delicious. The other burgers chosen looked good too. One of my friends are a walk away so they will be back with their partner!
Love this place. Brunch is the best for the Brats and Eggs. They always have an interesting game brat option, and it is always delicious. The beer selection is great, and they have good gluten free food options for my wife.
The best food I had while in Oakland "bar" none. I'm just shocked that I found a place with legitimate Gluten Free options. Still shocked. Fish Tacos better than San Diego. Best grilled Brussels ever. Evening bartender works his butt off. You better tip this guy.
some of the absolute best vegan food I’ve ever had!!! (also the vegan chicken is gluten free for anyone else wondering!) staff were super kind as well. I could eat this every day!
If you’re in SFO or Oakland and looking for a place that combines incredible food, amazing ambiance, and top-notch service, Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine is it. The vibe here is simply fantastic—bright, lively, and full of Instagram-worthy spots that will have you snapping pics all night.
We were short on time, so we opted to share a couple of dishes, and they did not disappoint. First was the Roti Mataba: Stuffed roti with curry chicken, potato, onion, and peanuts, paired with curry sauce. Absolutely delicious. And we got the Thai Vacation Dessert: A delightful mix of fresh coconut, sticky rice, coconut ice cream, coconut cream, peanuts, and sesame. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing—it’s a dessert dream come true and also gluten-free!
Though we didn’t have time to explore more dishes, this place has earned a solid spot on our must-return list.
Being in the fishbowl of a back room made it feel slightly like our birthday party was on display to the other patrons, but the food was fantastic, service was prompt, friendly, and went above and beyond for one member of the party with gluten intolerance. Well done!
