We visited because we didn’t fancy the on site offering from Alton Towers. 10 minute drive from the hotel max - Alton is a lovely village, very pretty. Food was very good and the pub very welcoming. Really good gluten free range which the Alton towers restaurants didn’t really have a good range for. Well priced menu and a good range so everybody was happy. Would recommend and definitely go again a very happy family.

A lovely pub and restaurant just a few minutes from Alton Towers, booking is a must. The inside is cosy and the menu is vast. They provide a large gluten free menu - I'm a coeliac and ate here with no concerns. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful, she double checked our food and brought the gluten free dishes out separately. Will definitely be visiting again next time we visit the area. Photos are of the gluten free food we ate: coconut, sweet potato and chilli soup with bread (starter), chicken, bacon and leek pie, hot honey chicken tenders (starter) and the star burger.

Just love it...the best Italian in the area... don't be afraid to ask for a mod to your dish...my wife loves the traditional carbonara rather than the typical UK version with cream and they also have excellent gluten free options for my daughter-in-law, she loves having the gf garlic bread with her mussels

Have been here about 5/6 times now and never been disappointed! As a coeliac I can safely say I’ve never had any problems with the food and am always impressed by the wide range off gluten free options! It’s not very often you can go for pub food when eating gluten free! Great value for money and very tasty food!

Fairly quiet for lunch but weather probably people off coming out. As we were in the area decided to find this pub. We were told we could sit in the restaurant then a manager told us it was closed!!! Food was lovely & they were very good with my daughter in law as she is vegetarian & coeliac. Reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again if I visit that area.

Really recommend this place! I am gluten free so I always feel like a bit of a nightmare when I go out to eat, but they were super friendly and really helpful in informing me what they could make gluten free for me. I also really like that they are so open to suggestions and it really feels like they listen which is an added bonus. The atmosphere and food was lovely and the service was brilliant. It’s not very often you go out for food these days and get made a fuss off. Will definitely be returning again soon🥰

Amazing food! Really great gluten free options. The staff were amazing, friendly and wanted to make the experience great for you! Watching the food go around on tracks added to the experience and the restaurant didn't hinge on just the gimmick side, the quality of the food was incredible as well!

Beautiful pub in a lovely area .brilliant play area outside for the kids so you can enjoy a pint and they can run of abit of steam .food is lovely with gluten free options which is a must for our family also have gluten free pudding instead of the boring old fruit salad or vanilla icecream which is the usual gf options I'm faced with when eating out .staff friendly and inviting. Cnt reccomend enough certainly be visiting again
