I've been in Hospitality for over 25 years. I can say we were welcomed professionaly and with a smile as we entered we did booked a table in advance knowing a table of 8 just turning up can be troublesome. But the greeting was friendly and took us to our table. I guess service is different to what I know (table service) but this is modern era, So we could either order at the bar or order online. The QR code app was easy and clear with option to add or to take away from your meal. The drinks come quick and what was good as I was paying for my family my brother in law paying for his and my other brother in law paying for his therfore 3 different orders at different times but the kitchen noticed and all the food come together. 5* The menu was good interesting with Vegan / Gluten free menu separate I thought a nice touch as didn't need to stroll through the menu looking for what's what. Food was tasty, nicely presented. The atmosphere was nice, with nice music in the back ground really modern quirky decor and if you got kids pens and colouring in menus. The one and only draw back was when ordering on the app it asked when paying do you want to give a tip which I always do but some people might think to give a tip before they had the service might be off putting. Definitely will be back. Really good experience we'll done all.

Went for dinner with friends on a Friday night, first visit. First impression was good, place nicely decorated and was very busy. Lovely drinks and good selection of non alcoholic drinks for designated drives. Starts we shared -CORNISH CRAB & PARMESAN ARANCINI, which were okay but we found bacon in the garnish which was not stated on the menu (my husband is Pescatarian so this was not okay) -KOREAN FRIED CAULIFLOWER which was tasty with the dip was nice but was very soft and was mostly batter very little cauliflower. -TEMPURA BATTERED SQUID, not bad at all and dip was tasty, good amount of garlic For mains I had STICKY CHINESE SPICED BELLY PORK (see photo). This meal came out only just warm. One piece of pork was lovely and soft, the other was terribly dry and tough. The rice was terrible and horrible - I could not identify a gain of rice. It was very mushy and compacted and cold. I did complain about this but was just told that’s how egg fried rice is! SALTED CARAMEL CRÈME BRÛLÉE with caramelised banana, banoffee puree, caramel brandy snap and banana crumb Crème brûlée was nicely set and a good crunchy sugar layer on top- but could not identify a trace of salted Carmel. Banana weren’t caramelised but just dry banana slices. Banoffee “purée” was just a sauce, which was nice but very little present on the plate. Brandt snap had no snap and was very soft. My friends and husband and similar experiences with their dish’s. One positive was that there was a good selection for gluten free. Over all not a good experience and we’re we’re not impressed. Will not be visiting again. Very over priced for quality of food.

Excellent afternoon tea with friends. The hotel was extremely busy, but the staff were still really helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and even the gluten free food was lovely. The food was well present and fresh, you were even asked if you wanted more! You even had a good selection of teas, which is a great bonus. The hotel itself is very well appointed, good decor and clean. I would definitely return.

Terrible experience and very poor value for money. A family of 11 booked for lunch at 5pm on a Sunday. From the beginning we were told that a few of the starters had already run out. When it came to mains they also told us that 3 people needed to change their orders because they would run out of chicken. This is worrying as it was only 5 o'clock. With the mains changed we asked if they could at least honour the stuffing from the chicken option as they were made to choose beef. They said this was OK but then tried to charge for it at the end of the bill! 2 of the family are celiac so asked for gluten free options. Although the waiting staff did keep asking the chef if the items contained gluten, they should really be confident knowing this before coming to serve. When the gluten free options came, items had been removed and not replaced with an alternative but still charged the same price for the meal. The food in general was not great, served warm not hot and the portions were tiny! We were all expected to then share 1 bowl of veg and gravy between us. We all ended up with very little on our plates and in no way justified the price charged. Would not recommend or return.
