A quaint and charming pub full of history, fine food, and an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Inside seating is limited, but there are several covered tables outside. While there are a few seats at the bar, like most places I’ve been (this is my first time in Scotland.), you don’t eat there. The bar area is for drinking. When you’re ready to eat, you sip at one of the tables, close enough to your neighbors to enjoy a conversation. I had two starters and highly recommend them both: the haggis croquettes, and the wings. And of course, a pint. The croquettes had all the earthy flavors you’d expect from haggis, and are quickly deep fried. The wings were unlike any I’ve had in the states. No Frank’s hot sauce here, just an unusual and flavorful dry rub, cooked to perfection. A woman at a neighboring table had both a gluten and dairy allergy, and they were able to accommodate her. Check this place out, you won’t regret it, and will leave with a full belly and great memories.

Very tasty food! Beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. It was so good we didn't even remember taking photos before we tucked in! Well marked gluten free dishes, good amount of options as well. A sweet gluten free dessert option would be nice. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure everything was safe and everyone happy. Our server, Poppy, was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Highly recommended!
