Weather you are Vegan or Vegetarian or neither, like me, this restaurant is an amazing experience accompanied by awesome food. As someone with Celiac Disease they are extremely accommodating. They even have their own Gluten-Free fryer so all can experience there incredible Chickpea Fries. I recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a wonderful meal!
Our server Kaitlin was very nice and accommodated our gluten free request! The seafood linguine was very good too. Lobster was a little tasteless but the salmon and shrimp was delicious. Nice atmosphere too, would go again!!
The server was wonderful and made sure that my food came out gluten free. I have celiac and I feel very comfortable eating here. I'm thoroughly impressed with my entire experience.
Visited on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. He had the Baron of Beef and I had the butter chicken. Because of my allergies to gluten and fish, I always ask a lot of questions before I order. I could have had any burger on a gluten free bun. I have had the spiced jamb burger in past and it is quite lovely. Today the butter chicken was a nice mild lunch choice. I love the addition of peas and tiny tomatoes to the sauce which burst in your mouth as you eat them. When my food arrived, I was about to hand over the naan bread to my husband but our server informed us it was cauliflower!! It had a nice sea salt finish and there was so much of it I had to bring it home to munch on later.
We had the Okanagan Iced Tea to drink.
When the bill came, I noted we were not charged extra for the gluten free "naan bread" which was a really pleasant surprise.
Overall a satisfying experience.
*Note: this is a dog friendly patio, they even have a dog menu so you can order your furry friend a treat*
There is something special about wood fire pizza. This little place has been open for 2 and a half years. It is family owned and operated. The chef has many years of experience.
The menu has something for everyone including gluten free pizza crust, gluten free penne and gnocchi. They also offer vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni.
I tried the Hawaiian pizza on gluten free crust. It is made in house with a mix of maize and rice flour. I was cautioned about cross contamination because it is cooked in a common oven but I had no issues. Generous toppings with a drizzle of balsamic and a coconut lime margarita to go with it.
My server was just lovely. He answered every one of my questions and was very knowledgeable.
Definitely will try the gnocchi next time.
We went here for my son’s graduation dinner and our waitress was amazing, so attentive and double checking for a gluten allergy. Our waitress served us so well, then we found out it was only her second shift there (her name was Katerina)
The food was great and it was a wonderful dinner!
I love that they have gluten-free options! Their GF pizzas are the same as normal ones, and that's very rare! My husband loved the beer, and the atmosphere was really good. We had a really nice waiter also, so a great experience overall. Oh, and being rugged by the lake was also nice!
Great service and delicious food. Every time I go to Krafty I always say "why don't I come here more often?" The space is comfortable, the selection of food items are plenty and they have no problem accommodating my gluten free needs, along with a great BC wine list and tasty farm to glass cocktails. Mia is always a pleasure to see, but every team member ensures that you are comfortable and checks-in to make sure that you have everything you need. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the Zeus bowl with chicken and the hand made pierogies. I wanted to visit here because many of their menu items could be customized for gluten free or Vegetarian diets.
This is a family friendly eatery with various types of seating including a patio with patio heaters
A wide variety of beers on tap are displayed on the wall.
There were families with young children, couples, and a great deal of take out customers.
All of the food going past our table looked amazing. My only complaint is that we had to wait quite a while for our food but when it did arrive it tasted great. The one woman serving the entire dining room ran her tuchus off and kept a bright smile on her face the entire time. We left a decent tip and will try again.
We visited for a special birthday dinner. This restaurant has a strict 19+ policy and lists the dress code as Business Casual.
Because I have food sensitivities and allergies, I emailed in advance to ask for menu suggestions. This restaurant is very allergy aware. They were able to make suggestions for me with no gluten, no fish, no mushrooms. I heard a diner at another table say she was allergic to onions and they had no trouble helping her.
Our server was very attentive and ran the dining room like she owned it.
Our party started with the cheese board and added charcuterie of locally made sausage. They built our cheese board with house made gluten free crackers. Sorry, no photos, ate too quickly.
We had the duck breast, medium rare. Because there is mushroom in all of the jous I had mine without and it was still fabulous. Also because I was concerned about cross contamination in the fryer, my potato croquettes were pan fried, my husband's were deep fried. You can see the difference in the photos.
For dessert I had the creme brule which comes with a shortbread cookie. I had no trouble finding someone at my table to eat the cookie. The creme brule had sour cherry at the bottom and was delicious. It was all delicious.
Had a great evening at Born to Shake. The food was fantastic and the drinks were incredible, and the staff and owners were Superb! For us having so many gluten-free options was great. . Will definitely return.
