Over the last week, we have tried multiple different coffee shops in Rapid City. Alternative Fuel is by far our favorite! We found ourselves back there time and time again.
The coffee was so good it didn't need any sweetener or cream.
The atmosphere was very laid back. We loved the music and the messages.
The fact that they had delicious GF options for my children who need them was AMAZING! (Gluten Free) The food that they got was very tasty, even by my non-GF standards.
This coffee shop was less convenient than others in the area (no drive through) but was 100% worth parking and going in!
We loved the outside tables right on the square. It was very enjoyable being able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful early-summer mornings, and some days, there were even activities going on there.
I have been past this place a few times and finally stopped in. They have a high selection of cookies including gluten free and cookie dough. We got the buy 6 get 2 free deal so we had a wide variety of choices. Everything was good but some were on the dry side. I might go back but will go with the cookie dough.
This is my go-to shopping place for anything grocery. The store is always very clean and their selection is one of the best in town, especially their organic products and gluten free items. I do find myself using their app quite a bit as well for coupons and stuff.
Dunn Bros in Rapid City is really amazing. The nirvana is simply the best coffee out there. I also got the Tuscan turkey sandwich on gluten free bread. It's rare to find a gluten free option that tastes good, but Dunn Bros has figured it out.
What can I say about this place that could actually describe how amazing it truly is? I truly don't believe there are the right words. My daughter has a gluten sensitivity (not allergy) and has been unable to enjoy good sandwiches and tasty treats for so many years. Several family members have had the same problem but have stated they have been able to eat sourdough. My daughter desperately wanted to try it but I knew store bought was out of the question. Enter this life changing bakery. The bread, the cinnamon rolls, the croissants and the pizza dough have changed our lives. Not only are the products absolutely perfect and heavenly, my daughter has been able to enjoy them without having any reactions. Our weekly trips to get bread and a treat have become something this momma looks forward to. After all, quality time with a teenager is hard to come by. There aren't enough words that could express how grateful I am that this place exists. Not only have we found a product that my kiddo can have and we get to support local, but it gives us a chance to spend some time together.
