I'm only gluten sensitive so I will step out on a limb & suck up the consequences of having regular gluten from time to time especially when it involves cookies! I had a large chocolate chip cookie. It had very good flavor, just overcooked a little for my taste. Still very soft but just a little too brown in my opinion. We tried this same spot several times spread out within about two weeks & with several different goodies. They have a coule of gluten free options _ a quiche and a zucchini chocolate chip muffin- that are really good.I don't know if part of proceeds still go to missions in Haiti, it doesn't seem like it. Saw this place as we were driving by and it’s always filled with people, and now we know why! They have a plethora of drinks, baked goods, and breakfast/lunch items to choose from. A huge plus is they have vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.
My husband ordered The Birch House and an americano. I ordered a vegan breakfast sandwich and a hot vanilla latte with oat milk. We also got the almond chocolate ganache tea cake (gluten free and dairy free) to share. All of it was jaw-droppingly delicious! The star of our meal was definitely the tea cake. It was moist and not too overwhelmingly sweet. Every bite of the cake was savored since I don’t often get to enjoy pastries since a lot of them contain dairy.
It’s a cute area with plenty of seating and you can study, go on a date, or just enjoy quality time with your loved ones and friends with great food and drinks. They have an upstairs area as well. In the downstairs area, you can see the kitchen area, which is pretty cool to see the workers bake.
Overall, it’s a must-try! Such great service and everything was delicious. It does get busy so plan your time accordingly. We went on a Monday around 10am and it was packed, but the line kept moving and we were able to find seating. There is a parking lot in the back and there is parking on the side as well.
We will definitely be back! I have my eye on the vegan and gluten-free cinnamon roll for next time. ☺️

I am gluten intolerant and picked up a gluten free pound cake upstairs before breakfast( I read they often run out). It was seriously the best thing I have eaten since being gluten free. It is huge and lasted me several days, even traveling well back to Florida with no decline in taste or appearance. It has a few blueberries which are nice and don’t make the cake wet and sloppy. Genuinely, save the money and go to Aldi or Walmart or even order online. $3.50 for an Ollipop that you can get for $1.97 anywhere else? $17 for Red Mill Gluten Free flour that you can get for $13 anywhere else. $7 for Hu chocolate that's $4 anywhere else. $55 for mushroom coffee that you can get for $35 online.

If you are from Texas and miss HEB, then this is the place for you. Prices rival the big warehouse stores but without the membership. Plenty of specialty diet foods such as vegan and gluten free. Bulk dry goods are better than Sprouts or Whole foods. They do NOT take credit cards, but that helps keep prices low!

The food was delicious, but expensive! I ordered the gluten-free French toast to go after reading the reviews. I placed the order over the phone.
When I arrived, I was taken to a different area to pay, rather than the front register. I had a twenty dollar bill. My order was $13-14 and some change. My change had to be retrieved from multiple tip jars; it was uncomfortable and time-consuming.
The people dining inside seemed happy and enjoying themselves. The gluten-free French toast was definitely delicious and I enjoyed it!

I tried cookies from here awhile ago and they were great! My second time stopping in and I was disappointed. The cashier was unpleasant. The gluten free bagel sandwich was like cardboard and the cinnamon bun was dry. On the plus side,the coffee tasted good and kept me awake on my long drive.

My boyfriend brought me to WinCo just to get some ginger candy to settle my stomach. I didn't know what I was getting into. They've got tons of dry goods in self serve bins, including multiple different varieties of rice, beans, dried fruits, nuts, pasta... Even gluten free pasta!
I had to remind myself that I live close to this place now, so I didn't need to buy everything that I was interested in on my first visit 😅
In addition, the staff were courteous, even though we were there pretty late at night (they are open 24 hours).

A real French-style bakery with actual trained pastry chefs! The croissants were fantastic. Both the chocolate and the traditional butter were very airy, with a nice crisp crust and hearty full-bodied butter flavor. The macarons were also great, with a nice chew that one would expect from a high-quality macaron. The selection of flavors was outstanding. They also offered gluten friendly carrot cake muffins, which we were very appreciative of. Fortunately their macarons were all gluten friendly as well (aside from the cookies and cream flavor). The matcha latte was great and we had wonderful service all around. We look forward to returning to give the quiche Lorraine a try and perhaps a croque monsieur. Very happy to have such a great choice locally.

So today's Taste Tour was to Lucky Buck's Coffee Shack in Lawton. Duty called, and so did caffeine, so I stopped in...and I am glad I did!
Lucky Bucks is tucked away at 4101 West Gore Blvd...the shopping center sets off the road a little, so if you aren't watching you'll pass by it (how I learned this is irrelevant).
There's no drive through, but the walk up counter is convenient, and the service was fast and friendly.
Their coffee is sourced from a roaster in Oklahoma, and is to their specs...great variety, and a available for bulk purchase as well.
They offer an array of coffees, lattes, espressos, Buckaccinos and frozen drinks.
What makes them worth the drive? Besides silky smooth coffee, their flavor shots are made in house (excluding the sugar free ones). I had a BuckShot Frozen Coffee...salted caramel and maple and delicious.
They also make a variety of baked goods from scratch daily. The orange creamcheese puff pastry was light, fluffy, and delicious. Thankfully, I got the last one. There were other nut breads and cinnamon rolls, and they do have gluten free options as well.
If you are in the Lawton area, make a trip over to Lucky Bucks for your caffeine fix.
