The grocery store offers a vast selection, including a deli, bakery, and Asian food, all in a clean and inviting environment with a florist too.

Hy-Vee is the king of grocery stores in the Columbia area. You can find gluten-free and vegan options here. They have a deli and bakery. They also have a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Besides standard deli and bakery, they have Asian food and pizza. All of which are good for a quick bite of hot food and affordable.
The store also includes a florist, though Im not sure if they provide special arrangements or just basics. The basics have gone over well in my house though 😉.
The store is clean, staff is friendly. I've never had a negative experience at one of these stores. Even the other customers here seem friendly. I guess everyone likes to shop at Hy-Vee.
Hyvee has adequate checkers, helpful staff. Prices are high, especially meat prices. Cooking oil has gone through the roof. Store is clean, vegetables fresh, shelves well stocked. Specialty items, like gluten free, are very high priced. Overall, a nice store, but pricey. Not for the faint of heart.
Known for amazing desserts and a standout ganache cake, this spot offers decent noodle options but sticks to sweet creations for the win.

I usually come get for the desserts which I love. The gluten free ganache cake is the best! All of the desserts I've had here have been pretty amazing.
Today I decided to taste their noodles. I ordered the small bowl of their beef noodle soup. The noodles were good, there was a generous portion of beef for the small bowl. The broth needed something extra though and I could not decide what it needed, a touch of salt? Maybe a little spice?
I'll definitely stick with the desserts from here forward.
Perfect spot for a post-visit pick-me-up, with comforting warm bowls that hit the spot, especially for those with specific cravings.

We went to Panera after a long afternoon at the hospital and cancer associates. I hadn't had lunch, and was feeling weak and hungry. They had a delicious "warm bowl" that was just what the doctor ordered. I was grateful to find something I could eat, because I have multiple food allergies, including gluten, tomatoes, and yeast. I'd give it 5 stars if there had been more choices I wasn't allergic to.
