Disaster…. We came for Mother’s Day and also booked a table weeks prior. For us to have the experience we did, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and nor would we ever come back.
Firstly, our chai lattes came luke warm which isn’t a big issue but the series of events at this venue resulted them in a 2 star rating…
We were told a 30 minute wait for food which is already astronomical for a cafe but we weren’t going to leave after everyone had just arrived. The wait time ended up being 50 minutes… which is absolutely insane for a cafe that wasn’t even full. Even so, it shouldn’t take this long.
The food was okay, nothing special or worth it for the amount time we waited. I also had egg shells in my “mushrooms” dish which was very off putting.
We also had a member that’s Coeliac and they said that the prawn toast is safe for her to eat, then came back to us and said it’s fried in contaminated oil and asked if that was okay… I mean for everyone who knows what coeliac disease is. It’s not ok…
Overall, for a cafe that isn’t cheap, the service wasn’t up to standards and nor was their food.
This place is pure gold! An authentic gem I visit regularly for delicious Currys. My kids favourite restaurant (eggplant pakoras!), and caters beautifully to our gluten free, dairy free, vegan and meat loving family members. Try the eggplant curry, goat curry, fish curry, spinach paneer. So so so good. And affordable! A Newcastle landmark.
Absolutely recommend the private high tea package for your next occasion! The team went above and beyond to accommodate us and could accommodate all dietary requirements for individual guests! Food was fantastic..we left feeling happy and full!
Celiac friendly!
Satisfaction guaranteed!!!!!
Vegetarian Burrito Bowl is always a win here at Guzman y Gomez. So tasty, so fresh and such fast service. Definitely a favorite of mine when I'm in town. Gluten free goodness at its best. Thanks guys.
The restaurant was tidy, the customer service is impeccable and beyond the standard for korean food. Recommended for Korean food in Newcastle. Gluten-free options available.
Pasta place runs out of pasta.
A half an hour wait we order. Half an our later nothing. Another 20 mins goes by before I call for someone's attention. After waiting again for half an hour I call someone's attention and ask what's going on. They let us know they are out of gluten free pasta something they failed to mention when they took our order. So overall we waited 2 hours for our food after they have lost our docket. We were compensated with one free round of drinks which we felt wasn't enough as it was an anniversary and birthday celebration.
Normally love this place but after today would seriously consider going back
This is such a happy place to buy coffee and yummy munchies!!! The girls here are so friendly: they are singing and laughing and dancing, really enjoying and their jobs and looking after their customers. It was just an accident that I found it and went to a lot of trouble to park! Great coffee, the gluten-free chocolate brownie was to die for, and the girls made it fun. Just a tiny little shop front under the stairs at Hamilton station you wouldn't even know it was there but I'm glad it is!!
Great coffee, great food and great service. The sausage and egg muffin is incredible. 🙌 They also use great gluten free bread for all the GF people out there.
Delicious food and excellent service.
I’m coeliac and it was great to know (although not clear on the menu) that almost everything on the menu was GLUTEN FREE!! 😍
Great portion size, left feeling completely full and loved the cocktails. Will be back soon!
I was a bit unsure of the menu, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with providing something gluten free for me. Extremely grateful for their patience and service! The food was very tasty!
I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza from Crust Hamilton for the first time tonight. I hesitated because it cost a little more than what I wanted to pay for a pizza, however I had heard good things about Crust so took the risk. I'm glad I made the leap. My pizza was delivered hot, covered in a generous amount of toppings and the gluten free base was actually really tasty. It tasted like a REAL pizza. Something you'd buy in Melbourne. Great work guys!
We had a coffee , a mango smoothie, eggs benebict on gluten free & the pan cakes today coffee was a bit strong mango smoothie was awesome eggs benebict was great pan cakes a little grainy & ice cream more icey then creamie serves was great staff are lovely overall a nice place for breakfast
Came down from Sydney for a day out and stopped here for breakfast, i will now be driving here just for this place (ignoring the fuel prices). Affordable unlike other local cafes, lovely staff, great food, Gluten free options and amazing drink names (bowie themed). Definitely go here if you are looking for great food and a great atmosphere.
