Amazing for celiac’s. Staff are very aware of cross contamination and gluten free buns are so good I've had to ring them to double check they didn't forget to make mine for a celiac. Great food great staff.

This was an amazing experience, a really nice nook in the middle of katoomba. Great food, an abundance of gluten free options, and a wonderfully lively ambience for their sunday performers. Popular for both tourists and locals alike, couldnt reccomend more.

I had been craving a bacon egg roll all morning and as a celiac, it’s not an easy task to find one. I popped into dirty red after glancing at their menu and saw they have gluten free bread available and the staff were so kind and said they could do a gf bacon egg roll for me. 🥹🩷 The bread was black which threw me off a bit but omg it was so good! The onions and tomatoey sauce were unique and really worked well with the runny egg and bacon. Bacon was a bit fatty but not too bad if you don’t mind that. Needless to say, I’ll be coming back to Dirty Red soon. 🩷

We recently attended Amanda's on the Edge in Pokolbin for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration on a Saturday night at 5:30 pm with a group of 14 people. The booking process for a large group was straightforward and handled via email, with a credit card taken to secure the reservation. Our group included three guests with dietary requirements—one with celiac disease, one with Crohn's disease, and one with a seafood allergy. Upon arrival, we were welcomed warmly and shown to our tables. Although our booking did not indicate we would be seated at two separate tables, they were split equally and placed close by. One couple had to sit separately, but they were fine with this arrangement. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, discussing the allergies with the affected guests and ensuring the kitchen could prepare suitable alternatives to the standard menu. This level of care and attention was greatly appreciated. Everyone enjoyed a three-course meal, and most dishes were well received. However, one steak dish left something to be desired. While other guests received delicious-looking cuts, one guest was served a what appeared to be more like a “minute steak” with a lot of gristle, making it difficult to eat. This was the only blemish on an otherwise excellent dining experience. Overall, I would recommend Amanda's on the Edge. Despite the hiccup with the steak, the rest of the food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the setting is beautiful. I think it would be an especially lovely place to visit during daylight savings in the warmer months, with an outside table overlooking what appears to be a stunning view.
